☆ Paintings: choose from two different types of canvas: box canvases are ready to hang, or flat canvases, where framing will be required (with your own frame).
☆ Drawings: are created on high quality cartridge paper, come with a bevelled edge mountboard, and will require your own frame.

Commission a portrait
Ordering is easy: simply email your digital photographs of the head and shoulders of the subject.
Please enquire for a quote for full body or double portraits.
For best results:
☆ Ensure your pictures are sharp and in focus.
☆Try not to include photos that show teeth.
☆Ensure the subject is looking toward the camera either head on or from a slight angle.
Sending more than one image to choose from would be an advantage.
A scan of your portrait will be sent to you for approval before your artwork is sent.
Paintings can take from 1 to 6 weeks to complete and drawings can take 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the image. Please order well in advance if the portrait is for a special occasion or let me know if the comission is urgent.

About Techniques
☆ Paintings: Created using acrylic paints; a hard wearing water resistant medium.
☆ Drawings: Choose from two methods; pencil for a traditional finish, or pen where artwork is created using a meticulous fine cross hatching technique for a sophisticated, contemporary finish.

About Canvases
Box Canvas: A canvas stretched over a wooden frame, ready to hang without any additional framing. This type of frame is used for paintings and digital illustrations.
☆Flat Canvas: A board canvas used for paintings, requires a frame for hanging.
☆Drawings: Black and white drawings are created on high quality cartridge paper and finished with a bevelled edge mountboard (requires a frame for hanging).
How to pay
A deposit of 25% (minimum) is required before work commences to secure your commission. The image can take several weeks to complete depending on size and complexity, so please ensure you order in plenty of time. A scan of your finished portrait will be sent to you for your approval before it is sent. The remaining balance will be required after the portrait has been approved. Accepted payment methods are Paypal / cheque / postal orders.
